Business Connections

Friday, May 15th at 11:45 am

** Note the change in date!  This event will be held on Friday **

The JESUS Film Project’s many tools are turning hearts to Christ and we become more and more excited about how God has been using this ministry each time we get a chance to hear about their strategies and the many stories of redemption from every tribe, tongue, and nation. Because we are compelled by all that God is doing through the JESUS film, we are excited to share it and would like to invite you to a Willmar Area Faith@Work luncheon to hear some of this phenomenal story first hand. We have asked Erick Schenkel, the executive director of the ministry, to come from Orlando and share some extraordinary reports of how the light of the Gospel is triumphing, even as darkness continues to grow in our world. We sincerely hope you can join us.

Executive Director of The JESUS Film Project, Erick Schenkel, brings a range of experience to his role. Shortly after his graduation from Harvard College, Erick led a church-planting team that established a church and an elementary school in Massachusetts. While leading this church, Erick earned two master’s degrees and a Ph.D. from Harvard in the Study of Religion. During this time he and his wife, Elizabeth, developed a desire to work in the Middle East.

Erick moved to Central Asia where he served as director of the non-profit organization Partnership in Academics and Development from 1999 until 2012, working in the fields of education and economic development. During that time the Schenkels also worked alongside JESUS Film® teams in Central Asia. Erick took the lead in starting a Bible school and served as director of a movement of nationally-led churches. He then served for five years as strategy director for North Africa, Middle East, and Central Asia for Campus Crusade for Christ. Erick became the third executive director of The JESUS Film Project in March 2012, succeeding Jim Green and founder Paul Eshleman.

Erick and Elizabeth, married for 40 years, have five children and two grandchildren. Erick enjoys running as a hobby.
